Being a fashion designer calls for a whole range of necessary skills and talents. Personally, I identify as a body architect; someone who dominates in the world of fashion, technology, and the human body. As a fashion design student I am looking to utilize my design, illustrative and detail oriented skills to establish a long term career in the fashion apparel industries.
Since I was very young I have had a passion for art. I had always spent endless hours taping into my imagination with a pen or pencil in hand. I appreciate how self expression can contain beauty, form and function. The fashion industry is a huge outlet for my creativity and a useful and functional way I can share my art with others. I feel my skill sets and strong abilities lie in illustration with a multitude of medias. Creating fashion illustrations that are then draped, patterned, and made into completed garments for people to wear out in the world is fascinating and exciting to say the least. Growing up, I had struggled with my own body image for many years; so being able to create flattering and attractive clothes for all people is something I hope to accomplish in my career.
